Where can I get the app?
You can download the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Please note that Vertica Health must invite you to use the app, before you can create a profile and use one of its solutions.

What if I delete the app?
If you remove the app from your smartphone, you will not be able to perform the assessments, which may have consequences for your health or safety, and that of others around you.
If you remove the app accidentally, you can simply download the app again by following the links above.

Stay Healthy COVID-19 solution
About the solution
The Stay Healthy app, enabled for the COVID-19 solution, helps with identifying individuals at risk of having COVID-19. This app helps to protect you, your colleagues, your friends and family. The app can help with assessing your risk of being infected with the coronavirus and to mitigate the risk of infecting others around you. Your employer may mandate that you download and use the app for your, and your colleagues’ safety.
What the app is for
The app helps your Occupational Health Practitioner to identify individuals who are at risk of being infected with the coronavirus. Those with a high risk will be tested and asked to self-quarantine or isolate until the test results are available. This way, you and your colleagues cannot infect each other, and this will help to keep the coronavirus outbreak under control.
How it works
After you download the Stay Healthy app you will be asked to create an account and provide relevant information including your demographics, smoking status, and medical history. You will then be asked to perform a two-part assessment daily. The first part of the assessment consists of a questionnaire in which your contact and exposure risk, COVID-19 symptoms, and COVID-19 testing status will be captured. The second part is a physiological assessment during which your heart rate, breathing rate, and coughing sounds will be captured. The app captures the physiological data with your smartphone’s camera, accelerometer and microphone.
The app will use this captured information to provide you with a risk classification. If your risk is high, your Occupational Health Practitioner will be informed so they can act accordingly.
What if I am flagged as a high risk?
If you are flagged as a high risk of being infected with the coronavirus, the app will provide you with instructions that will ensure you will not infect others around you. You will then be contacted to get tested for COVID-19 and to ensure you will get the medical care you need. If you do not require immediate medical care, you will be asked to isolate.
Your employer will not release your name. Being flagged as high risk will not affect your job, and there will be no repercussions for you. The app’s sole purpose is to ensure your safety, and that of those around you.
Stay Healthy TKA solution
About the solution
The Stay Healthy app, enabled for the TKA solution, helps with tracking the recovery process after total knee arthroplasty. This solution helps with early detection of complications and health risk, so your doctor can reach out to you and intervene timely. The app will collect data from questionnaires and your smartphone’s sensors in combination with a voice-guided protocol to calculate a recovery risk score, which will be shared with your doctor.
What the app is for
The app will help your doctor monitor your TKA recovery process by collecting data from questionnaires, and your smartphone’s sensors in combination with a voice-guided protocol. Your doctor may want to schedule an appointment with you should there be concern that the recovery does not go as expected. This way, your doctor can get an indication of your recovery process remotely, and reach out if there is the possibility that your recovery strays from the expected recovery trajectory.
How it works
Before the scheduled TKA surgery, you will be asked to download the Stay Healthy app and to create a profile with relevant information including your demographics, smoking status, and relevant medical history. You will then be asked to perform a pre-surgery assessment, which will consist of two parts. The first part is subjective and relates to seven questions with regards to your pain experience and symptoms of adverse health events. The second part is objective and consists of a voice-guided assessment during which your heart rate, breathing rate, and coughing sounds will be captured. You will also be asked to perform a range-of-motion test for the operated knee, and 6-minute walking distance test. The app captures the physiological data with your smartphone’s camera, accelerometer, gyroscope and microphone. After your surgery, you will be asked to repeat these assessments daily as long as your doctor suggests. The app will use this captured information to provide you with a recovery score. If your recovery score is abnormally high, your doctor will be informed so you and your doctor can act accordingly.
The TKA solution is developed to early-detect potential complications following your TKA. However, if you notice any of the following, please contact your doctor immediately:
· Your wound starts oozing.
· There is increased swelling, warmth or redness around your wound.
· You are developing a fever (high temperature)
· Your calf or thigh becomes swollen, warm to touch or red.
· There is a dramatic increase in the pain that you experience.
